Bio

Kevin started his career at a startup selling a new twist on recessed lighting by creating demand from end users while building relationships with distributors. After successes in Chicago, he was challenged with developing business in one of the toughest recessionary climates in Texas, opening and managing a Southern US territory and distribution center. In a 5 year span, he fostered the most successful National Account at the time providing the impetus for a strong growing business across the Mid-Central and Southern US, and then hired and trained a sales force to multiply the growth.

Onto the next challenge, Kevin was hired by a decorative lighting manufacturer to build a management team and sales force of over 40 independent reps, lead the product development and marketing teams, and develop a successful retail program throughout N. America with Walmart and Home Depot.

Moving back to Chicago 13 years later, he led an internal sales and tele-marketing team and supported the opening of 5 retail stores with a prominent supplier of photographic supplies. Then combining the experiences of sales, product development, manufacturing and marketing, he joined the largest Home Improvement chain in the early stages of growth. Over the next 7 years, as a merchant of lighting, electrical supplies, and seasonal air movement, Kevin supported the opening of 500+ stores thru assortment planning, sourcing and marketing 750+ sku's and driving retail sales of $350 million+.

In 2003, he sought to use his combined expertise in retail and manufacturing to assist new manufacturers interested in a quickly growing DIY Hardware/Home Center business thru product development and marketing. Since then he has grown multiple companies, generating $100+ million in new business and employing a team of independent contractors developing, packaging and marketing new products.

In 2013 FLI Products was birthed to give branding to a scope of products designed, developed, and marketed with partners we love that share the same values and desire to be innovative, and run a business with integrity while transcending the day to day market.

Kevin is a true Merchant at heart, building relationships, collaborating with manufacturers and retailers by creating compelling assortments with innovation and value, from concept to shelf. He has a rich experience in lighting, home and housewares, hand tools and seasonal categories across multiple retail and online channels, nationally.

He is a real leader with transcendent values and a global vision to bring light into the unlit world, with a passion for the disadvantaged.
